You can use trackball or touch screen to control your little ship. See that paddle? Yes, that's the way to move it. Accelerometer would be good as well. So this is one down.
There are some power-ups for you to collect. Some provides you some guns, some increases the paddle size and yes not surprisingly some makes it 'multi-ball'. Frankly that's my favorite!
When I checked the Android market last time, I remember seeing 5 or 6 different Meteor - which is very confusing actually. There is a lite version, demo version, paid version and a version just for Droid and Nexus1. If you're thinking to download the game, just make sure that you get the right one.

Defend Homeland is a Real Time Strategy(RTS) game developed by ESC Mobile for Android platforms. You build an army and defend your homeland against enemy attacks. Build your base, barracks, war factory and develop your army. You can have tanks, infantries, missile launchers and much more in your army.
Like any other RTS classic, as a player, you're supposed to build your army and defend homeland against enemy attacks. You'll be assigned different type of missions and expected to accomplish these in given time.
You'll be able to develop lots of different buildings and units during game play.

Infantries
Infantries are the most basic attack unit in the game. They're most effective when they attack or defense in groups. Specially in the first levels of the game, you'll be using your infantries for most of the time.
Infantries are also good for some specific mission. Since they're fast and relatively cheap to build, who can a better candidate to blow up an oil barrel near enemy buildings for example! Well, infantry of course!
Trikes
Trikes are 3 wheel fast attack units in the game. They're best for raids! Just group some trikes together and go! Well, probably in your first raid you'll discover that trikes are very vulnerable against heavy attacks such as Siege tanks.
Trikes are very effective against infantries. If you plan to take your trikes with you when attacking to enemy bases, group your trikes as a team and position them close to your siege tanks.
Medium Tanks
Medium tanks are main combat tanks. They're fast, strong and accurate. Highly effective on trikes and moderately effective on enemy buildings. Medium tank's range is just fine.
Medium tanks are good for defending your base as well. You can effectively use them against enemy raids.
Hey - try not to let your medium tanks alone with enemy siege tanks!
Siege Tanks
As you may have already guessed, siege tanks are the heaviest armored unit in the game. Well, OK, they're slow but who cares! Once you group 5 siege tanks together, nothing can dare to stop you! (hm maybe enemy turrets, yes).
Siege tanks effective on all units and buildings. However, since they're heavy and slow, it may not be a good idea to use them against enemy infantries and trikes. The best practice for your siege tanks can be using them for large attacks to enemy base. First clear your way using siege tanks, then use your missile launchers to come closer to enemy buildings. Good idea, is not it!
Missile Launchers
Yes as you guessed it, missile launchers launches missiles! They are very precise part of your army. They're what make you win a battle. A missile launcher is mainly effective on enemy buildings. However, they are very weak when it comes to defending. You must protect your launchers from any enemy attack. Even an infantries attack may destroy your launcher in seconds.
A good strategy could be keeping your launchers close to your siege tanks. Siege tanks simply clears the way to target and launchers follow.
Launchers are also slow vehicles due to their heavy load.
